Cierge Meditation & Altar Sculpture
Cierge: French for candle, or taper.
Taper candles are one of the oldest types of candles, and have been around for thousands of years. They have long been used for meditative and ceremonial practices. This sculpture was made with the intention to embody the flame of a candle as depicted in the glass component at the top. It can be used for meditation & reflection, or to be placed in a space of your home where it can remind you of your guiding light.
This sculpture was made with an antique wooden textile spool, and a solid glass antique perfume bottle topper. The foot of the sculpture dons a wreath of genuine, matte smoky quartz beads, silk ribbon, & silver charm.
