The Bridge Meditation Sculpture
This sculpture is meant to focus thoughts on the infinite interconnections & relations we experience, whether within our personal lives and relationships or as a part of our bigger ecosystem. It consists of an antique solid wood barbell cut in half, & a vintage solid glass candle holder. The tiny hand-carved images are pictures from an experiment in the late 1800s trying to prove the existence of thought transmission. In this experiment, one person made a drawing, after which another person tried to copy it without seeing the originally drawn picture. There was limited success, but I found the whole concept to be such a tender example of our need to connect. Handmade by visual artist, Genevieve Lawrence.
